The Boxer

The image is a cigarette card of Joe Louis. In the last century cards came free with packets of cigarettes. Each tobacco company would have different sets, that the smoking public could collect – from sporting heroes or film stars to events in history. My Grandad was an avid collector and I have always been fascinated by these miniature cards.
