The Lightening

The Lightening is a human size tower made with a salvaged wood frame that houses an abundance of found materials.  There are also drawers and doors that make the piece very interactive. It’s the sister piece to The Darkening which is about my childhood going up into adolescence.  The Lightening is about my parents defining years – the war years. As it’s name suggests it gradates from dark wood to almost white.
