Cabinets of curiosity used to be a source of knowledge and conversation, they were displays of their owners interests and desires.  This cabinet is a celebration of women. Constructed like a piece of furniture – the side board or mantelpiece, it evokes the domestic and the home.  Inside are drawers and openings that house tiny artifacts of memory and images that pay tribute to women of the past, the ordinary (my mum and her pals) and the famous.
