Crystal Blue Persuasion
This is another journey into colour. These pieces are very graphic and I think my time as a graphic designer has inspired them. I’m really enjoying making triptychs, there is something about three separate pieces working as one that is very satisfying.
The name ‘Crystal Blue Persuasion’ is from a song by Tommy James and the Shondells. I loved this song as a teenager and the title is so evocative. Apparently it was inspired by his reading of the biblical book of Ezekiel! You can listen to it here…
