The Soldier
I made this tower during the initial Covid 19 lockdown. I spent a lot of time thinking about my parents generation and how they had hoped and fought for a new future after WW2. That there were comparisons to what we were going through and the period toward the end of the war. Every one I knew was hoping for a dramatic change after the pandemic. Less planes and cars, people before profit and huge pay rises for NHS workers and other carers. As I write this now in 2024 and the world is in a much worse place I feel an overwhelming sense of disapointment.
